Bita Asghari, OD
Dr. Asghari joined BostonSight in August 2017. She completed her Doctorate in Optometry from Southern California College of Optometry, graduating summa cum laude. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from California State University Northridge, graduating cum laude. Prior to her joining BostonSight, Dr. Asghari completed her post-doctoral residency in Cornea & Contact Lens and Ocular Disease from The Ohio State University Havener Eye Institute Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science. There, she completed additional training with emphasis in binocular vision disorders and low vision.
During her residency, Dr. Asghari specialized in managing patients with a variety of ocular surface diseases and corneal conditions using complex contact lens designs. In addition, she was involved in clinical research as an investigator studying the role of scleral lens wear in the management of a spectrum of dry eye diseases.
Dr. Asghari was a Poster Winner for her presentation at the Heart of America Eye Care Congress in 2017. She is also the recipient of the Ocular Instruments Award of Excellence and the VSP/AOF Practice Excellence Scholarship.
