They are committed to keeping families together during a child’s medical crisis, believing that the gentle cadence of normal family life has a powerful influence on the healing process. 

Joe's House

Joe's House is an online nationwide service that helps cancer patients and their families find lodging near treatment centers. Joe’s House offers over 2,000 lodging facilities. The website includes a search function to locate lodging by geographic location. Information on each lodging facility is available, including complete contact information, amenities, rates, reservation methods, and requirements. 877-563-7468 (Responds to calls in English only) 

National Association of Hospital Hospitality Houses, Inc. (NAHHH):  

An association of more than 150 non-profit organizations located throughout the United States that provide family-centered lodging and support services to families and their loved ones who are receiving medical treatment far from their home communities. Seven days a week, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, the Guest House provides family and friends of patients receiving treatment with comfortable affordable accommodations for as long as they need it. Suites, with fully equipped kitchen, are available for $40 - $50 per night for families that can afford it; however, no one in need is ever turned away due to an inability to pay.

The mission of The Ronald McDonald House of Long Island is to give comfort and shelter to families experiencing the pain of having a sick child in local hospital facilities. A “home away from home”, the House provides the parents and siblings of these children with a temporary haven in a secure and comfortable environment among other families sharing a similar burden. Families are referred to the House through a hospital’s social work department. The Ronald McDonald House of Long Island requests a donation of $25 per night per room. Miracle House provides temporary housing, meals, and advocacy to caregivers and patients coming to New York City for critical medical treatment. All guests must be 18 or older - no children. Located 4.1 miles from Weill Cornell Eye Associates. Rate is $50 per night for a three bedroom apartment.
