Bill Greenwood

What am I looking forward to?

Being able to open my eyes and see the world without pain -
I am forever grateful.

A Builder's Story

Bill Greenwood ran his own contracting business for 25 years. But his well-ordered world collapsed when he was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

“Fortunately, a stem-cell transplant cured the lymphoma,” says Bill, “but it severely damaged my bronchial tubes. And as if that weren’t bad enough, I then had a bout with Graft Versus Host Disease that affected my lachrymal glands -- to the point where I couldn’t keep my eyes open without pain.” At that point, Greenwood had to close his business.

Greenwood says he tried all kinds of treatments and suffered a lot of misery and frustration. “I thought I’d be like that the rest of my life. But then my father read an article about BFS on the Internet. I contacted them and got immediate relief.”

So much relief, in fact, that Greenwood can not only drive again; he’s employed as a “swap driver,” delivering cars from one dealership to another when buyers order a model not on a dealer’s lot.

“I wish I’d gone to the Foundation first,” says Greenwood. “I’m thankful every minute. I feel better than I ever thought I’d feel again, and I’m very grateful.”
