Sankara Nethralaya is a charitable not-for-profit eye hospital whose main facility is located in Chennai, India. It was founded in 1978 by Dr. S.S. Badrinath along with a group of philanthropists. It was the first eye hospital in Asia to receive an ISO 9002 Quality Certification.
