Position: BostonSight OD   Department: Clinic  Reports To: SVP, Clinical & Professional Affairs  Exempt or Non-Exempt: Exempt  POSITION SUMMARY BostonSight is A nonprofit eye care clinic, research center, and onsite medical device manufacturing lab dedicated to restoring vision and improving quality of life. We strive to transform the understanding, treatment, and care of complex corneal disease within the global medical community and the public at large and empower practitioners to elevate the standard of care for patients. BostonSight employs approximately 40 staff, and annual revenues are $5 to $10 million.  The overarching role of the BostonSight OD is that of a PROSE Provider. As such, they perform consultations for BostonSight PROSE treatment candidacy, as well as medical evaluations and comprehensive examinations of PROSE patients. BostonSight PROSE Providers have or develop expertise in the design and customization of devices used in PROSE treatment and in the training of patients with complex corneal disease. Additional responsibilities include the education of patients, referring providers, and third-party payors regarding PROSE treatment, BostonSight technologies, and participation in the BostonSight PROSE Clinical Fellowship program, training BostonSight Network Clinic fellows, and of other trainees from the fields of Optometry and Ophthalmology across all BostonSight technologies.   EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE Doctor of Optometry degree from a duly accredited school of Optometry.  Completion of an Optometric residency/fellowship (Cornea and Contact Lens residency/fellowship strongly preferred).  Interest in research and education with respect to the treatment of complex corneal disease.   1 to 5 years of experience.  An equivalent combination of education and experience, which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed below, may [...]
