BostonSight’s partnership with Conoptica brings BostonSight SCLERAL to Spain, Portugal, and Morocco. Conoptica has more than 55 years of experience in the contact lens and optometry industry. The company provides products, services, and education to eye care professionals to provide effective and tailored visual solutions.
LVPEI’s mission is to provide equitable and quality eye care to all sections of society. Established in 1987, LV Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI), a World Health Organization Collaborating Centre for Prevention of Blindness, is a comprehensive eye health facility. The Institute has ten active arms to its areas of operations: Clinical Services, Education, Research, Vision Rehabilitation, Rural and Community Eye Health, Eye Banking, Advocacy and Policy Planning, Capacity Building, Innovation and Product Development.
The ‘LVPEI’ and BostonSight collaboration started in 2017 to improve access of specialized lenses to patients in underserved geographies. The LVPEI BostonSight Lens Manufacturing Lab is ISO 13485 certified by the British Standards Institution (BSI). This accreditation is a testimony to the high-quality of LVPEI scleral lenses which are offered to other eye care practitioners also beyond LVPEI, for further dispensing to the patients in need.
