What makes this clinic different
BostonSight developed PROSE treatment. What began as a breakthrough solution for patients with the most severe, complex corneal and ocular surface diseases has grown into an internationally recognized medical treatment that reduces pain and suffering, promotes healing, and improves quality of life for thousands of patients.

Common questions
How long does it take to get a Consultation appointment?
Generally, we book Consultation appointments six weeks out. Prior to your initial consultation, you must complete our Intake process.
How long is the Intake process?
The intake process takes approximately one month. Once the required information is provided to BostonSight, your chart will go through a comprehensive medical review to determine if you are a candidate for PROSE treatment. If you are a candidate, we will contact your insurance carrier to inquire about coverage and prior authorization requirements, which can take several weeks.
What information will you need from me?
We will send you forms to complete and return. We also need a copy of recent comprehensive exam notes from your Primary Eye Care provider (from an appointment within the last six months) and a copy of the front and back of your insurance card(s).
How long is the appointment process?
The Consultation is a one-to-two-hour appointment. The fitting process takes 5-8 days to complete. The first several days are full days in the office with multiple appointments with the doctor to work on the fit of the device and with the technicians to learn to apply, remove, and care for the devices.
If I already wear contact lenses, how long will my appointment be?
The Consultation will still be one to two hours long, but the number of appointments for the fitting may be reduced, as you will not require as many training sessions with the technicians.
Do you accept vision insurance?
We do not work with vision Insurance; PROSE is a medical treatment, so we bill through medical insurance.
Are weekend appointments available?
Unfortunately, no. We are open Monday-Friday 7:30 am-5:00 pm.
Will my insurance cover the cost of treatment?
As part of the intake process, we ask for a copy of your medical insurance card. We will contact your insurance provider, inquire about coverage, and let you know before scheduling your first appointment.
Do I need to have someone accompany me to my appointments?
You do not have to have a companion with you, but if you are more comfortable having support at your visit, we encourage you to bring someone along.
Does my doctor have to refer me for PROSE?
You do not need a doctor to refer you for PROSE treatment, but we will need current eye exam notes for our doctors to review (they must be from an appointment within the last six months).
