Graft vs Host Disease
Ocular GVHD affects 60-80% of patients with chronic GVHD, and causes blurry vision, burning sensation, light sensitivity, and eye pain.
Stevens-Johnson Syndrome
Stevens-Johnson Syndrome (SJS) and toxic epidermal necrolysis syndrome (TENS) are rare, serious disorders of the skin and mucous membranes that can result in painful eyes.
Sjögren’s Disease
Sjögren’s Disease is a chronic autoimmune disease in which white blood cells attack the body’s moisture-producing glands. Hallmark symptoms are dry eyes, light sensitivity (photophobia), and dry mouth.
Post-Corneal Transplant
Issues that can develop from corneal transplants include dry eyes, poor vision, and astigmatism. More severe complications include rejection of the new cornea, which must be treated immediately by your ophthalmologist.
Post-LASIK
Issues that can develop after LASIK include dry eyes, poor vision, and astigmatism.
