Update Regarding Device Reconditioning Requests

March 20, 2020/0 Comments/in Clinic Updates/by michele

To our Needham Patients:

In a further attempt to minimize traffic in our Needham clinic, we will no longer accept walk-in requests for reconditioning or allow patients to walk in for the purchase of supplies.

Until further notice, all patients are to mail devices in and to the attention of the Device Coordinator. If you do need to purchase supplies, we would direct you to The Dry Eye Shop at www.dryeyeshop.com.

Update Regarding Device Packaging and Hand Washing

March 18, 2020/0 Comments/in Clinic Updates/by michele

To our patients, partners, and staff:

At BostonSight we are taking every precaution possible to limit interaction with devices, however many hands touch the packaging on its delivery route, from delivery drivers to the sorting staff at parcel companies.  In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are asking that you please discard any device packaging and then wash your hands generously prior to handling the device and device case

COVID-19 Response

March 16, 2020/0 Comments/in Clinic Updates/by michele
To our patients, partners, and staff: Your health and safety is always our priority. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, BostonSight is limiting patient care at our Needham, MA clinic by rescheduling routine annual comprehensive appointments, evaluating all patients who are scheduled for medical evaluations, consults and treatments for urgent/emergent care; and limiting patient interaction in common areas to maintain social distance. Our manufacturing lab has been disinfected and we have limited access to only essential personnel as well as limited interaction between lab staff and other staff members. Our manufacturing lab continues to operate and will ship products as ordered. Lab protocols for device servicing will follow recommended ISO disinfection protocol. If you have an appointment scheduled with us in our Needham Clinic in March, we will be contacting you to confirm or to reschedule your appointment. If you have questions, contact information follows:
  • Scheduling for new patients:  781-726-7456
  • Scheduling for current patients:  781-726-7337
  • BostonSight Medical Triage:  781-726-7337 x 344
We will continue to monitor the situation and implement recommendations put out by authoritative sources. For the most up-to-date information please see https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html. Thank you, Sara Yost President and CEO
